The ATAR is used by Universities to rank students based on their Year 12 results. It is a competitive score system that allows students from all over Australia to apply for University courses anywhere in the country. Most students in South Australia use their ATAR to apply for tertiary courses through SATAC (the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre). |
