Subject Selection Process
Students will need to select their subjects for the following year using the subject selection portal. They will receive login details for the portal via their school email, and will have approximately 3-4 weeks to select their subjects.

The process is as follows:
  1. Students read the Curriculum Handbook and determine which subjects they are interested in selecting
  2. Using the relevant subject selection planning sheet, map out their subject selections for the following year
  3. Access their login details from their school email
  4. Select their subjects online using the portal
  5. Students in Years 10 and 11 will then have a Subject Selection Interview with a chosen course counsellor (bookings made via Daymap Parent Portal)
  6. Timetables will then be developed and distributed to students before the end of the school year.

If you are having difficulty with the subject selection process, it is highly recommended that you check out our "Frequently Asked Questions" section first.

Subject Selection Portal
Each student will receive their login details for the Subject Selection Portal via their school email. If you cannot find the email, please check your Junk or Spam folder.

The Subject Selection Portal will open on Monday 4 August, allowing students to submit their subject selections for 2027.

There is no advantage to submitting your selections early -it is not a "first come, first served" process. Take the time to carefully consider your options and ensure your selections accurately reflect the subjects you wish to study next year.

The order in which you select your subjects is very important. Make sure that you put the subjects that you really want to do as your first selections.

To access the portal, (after Monday 4 August), please click the button below.

Advice When Selecting Subjects

Do your research first! Make sure that you have:
  • Looked at what subjects your possible future career or pathway will need.
  • Mapped out your subjects to the end of Year 12
Read the subject descriptions in the curriculum handbook (don't assume you know what a subject is about). Talk to your teachers for their opinion about subjects you are suited for or what subjects you should do for certain careers or pathways.

Talk to your parents. It is vital that they are on the same page as you.

If you have done Year 10 PLP or EIF, go back and look at the information around your career.

Do not pick subjects simply because your friends are picking it. Choose the subjects that are right for you.

Likewise, do not pick a subject based on who the teacher "may or may not be". There is no guarantee that a teacher will teach the subject again next year.
